David Tarrant graduated from UCD with a BCL degree and was enrolled as a Solicitor in 1972. He is the third generation of his family to become a Solicitor and he followed in the footsteps of his well known and much loved father Cyril, who practiced until his death at the age of eighty seven years.

David Tarrant is considered to be one of the most experienced criminal law practioners in Ireland and during his years of practice he has appeared in every court in this jursidiction. He has represented clients from all walks of life some of whom have been charged with the most serious of crimes. His expertise is spread across a broad range of criminal representation helping clients from the earliest moments of their difficulites, often late at night and in police stations and prison cells if necessary. His vast experience in thousands of cases makes him one of the most formidable defence lawyers in the country.

Althought he is best known throughout the country as a criminal practioneer, David has also represented clients in many civil law cases, including medical negligence claims and very serious personal injury cases. The Hallmark of David’s work is a fearless determination to obtain justice on behalf of his client, and he has always placed his clients interests above his own. He has never hesitated to challenge the organs of the state and/or the judicary when the interests of his clients demand it.
